Calling For Volunteer Snow Wardens

Submitted on 30 October 2018 by Anne Dowell

As the winter months are approaching, we are looking for volunteers who are able to give up some of their own time to clear snow and ice, making the area a safer place in the winter months. Volunteers will receive training and advice on how to clear the snow and ice safely. Volunteers would also be provided with the protective clothing, a shovel and wheelbarrow to carry out the task of clearing the snow and ice.

The training sessions are being held at the Highways Croft Depot, Arbor Road, Croft, LE9 3GE. The dates for these sessions are Monday 19th and Wednesday 21st of November, and also on Friday 7th December. There are morning sessions running 9am - 11.30am and afternoon sessions running 12.30 - 3pm.

For further information or if you are able to volunteer, please contact Earl Shilton Town Council on 01455 843386 or email
